During this year´s ORF Long Night of Museums we offer the following specials in the context of our current exhibition Flare demure by Alice Slyngstad.

Not so demure: shine your light =<<<<
For the Long Night of Museums, Kunstraum Niederoesterreich is offering a special (UV)-highlight for children*: With ultraviolet flashlights, visitors can discover what otherwise remain invisible in the dark! As part of Alice Slyngstad's exhibition Flare demure, oversized lilies of the valley illuminate the dark room like will-o'-the-wisps. They seem able to talk to each other and to the visitors, luring them into a surreal spatial experience with "Pssst"-calls and songs.

The stem leaves of these lilies of the valley remain hidden, however, as they only appear at night in UV light. If you manage to find all the hidden leaves in the exhibition space, make them light up with your UV-torch and subsequently mark them on the Kunstraum map. Once you’ve found them all, a sweet (edible) surprise awaits you...

Make Kunstraum and the glowing lilies of the valley shine in a new light.

Not so demure: shine your (own) ultraviolet light!!!

*Parents and caregivers are advised to accompany children under the age of 10 given the darkness in the room. The leaf search is open to people of all ages, however!

Short guided tours 
Experience the first solo exhibition in Austria by Norway-born artist Alice Slyngstad. Do you have questions about the show? Our art mediators will be happy to give you a personal introduction (in German or English as required).

11-12 pm
Midnight Special
End your evening with one of 100 free drinks (optionally with or without alcohol) at Kunstraum Niederoesterreich.
