We are excited to invite you to the first exhibition opening of this year's annual program Heartbeats Rising. This much can be said: it will be an intoxicating evening...
Against the backdrop of a declining world, six artists transport us into ecstatic, excessive, and dreamy states. Where an unimpeded climate crisis is only escalating further, wars and terror continue claiming thousands of lives, and we risk losing control over AI technologies, James Bantone, Laura Gozlan, Leon Höllhumer, Tiona Nekkia McClodden, P. Staff and Chin Tsao ask what impact this ongoing emergency mode has on how we feel, desire, and relate to ourselves as well as to others. The artists shed light on conscious and unconscious strategies of escaping the world and thereby illuminate some of their limits, too.
