This year, Kunstraum Niederoesterreich presents the H13 Lower Austria Prize for Performance for the 19th time, to date Austria’s only prize for performance in the context of visual art. A special H13 exhibition complements the award ceremony and presentation of the winning performance project. The exhibition concept is fully in the hands of the H13 prize-winners. Traditionally, the opening takes places on the day of the H13 award ceremony. The exhibition offers our audience the opportunity to attain a deeper understanding of the award winner’s artistic practice above and beyond the ceremony event.

As in the past two years, the Kunstraum will once again award the prize in cooperation with an internationally renowned partner institution – this time our partner is Studio Voltaire in London. In addition to the prize money, the H13 winner will undertake a residency at Studio Voltaire, which offers a wide range of opportunities for creative exchange and professional development.
