This year's annual H13 Lower Austria for Performance goes to the artist Sara Lanner with her project MINE. After the premiere of the award-winning project on 08.09.2021, we will be showing an accompanying exhibition from 09.09.2021 - 11.09.2021, in which you can follow Sara Lanner's material studies and follow the project via folding objects and displays.
The project MINE by Sara Lanner, winner of this year’s H13 Niederoesterreich Prize for Performance, will be performed for the first time on September 8, 2021. It explores our relationship with one another and with our environment, while negotiating the ethical implications of global mining processes on the basis of a folding sculpture. In cooperation with a second performer, Costas Kekis, Sara Lanner’s project takes her investigations into acts of extraction, digging, and redeployment to an interpersonal level: How can information be extracted from one body to another without being invasive? Which reciprocal dependencies, which images of collaboration emerge?
For more in-depth information about the exhibition, we invite you to take a look at the accompanying brochure.
